Comments / Improvements Needed
Is my poster appropriate?
My poster should be appropriate, it needs to meet
the requirements set by Mrs Daykin in order to correctly advertise the event.
Is my information real?
My information should be real as I have to
communicate true information.
Is my information reliable?
I should make sure that people know where my
information is from so that they are sure that the information given to them
is true.
Is my poster in color?
Color can make a very big difference in a poster,
so the decisions is an important one to make.
Is my background and writing the right color?
The two should be of the right color. They are
really important, the contrast between the two are what make the poster easy
to read.
Does the poster contain images?
Images are a great attribute to give to your
poster, it can totally change the look of it making it more eye-catching.
How much text does the poster contain?
Posters should not contain a lot of information,
it should include briefly the essential information in order to communicate
immediately.
Has my poster got the right information (date
& time)?
We don’t want to create a poster with the wrong
information. It should inform people.
Did I use the right material to create this
poster?
Using the right material means achieving a good
quality piece of work. The poster should look at its best and this can only
be done using the right material.
Having a test table like this one
will help me go through my process. Every time I’m working and creating my
poster I can look at this table and see if the poster meets the expected
outcome. It’s a great way to evaluate my work constantly in order to achieve
what I expect to create. I included as many questions as I could think of that I think will be able to help me throughout the creation of the poster. Reflecting on all of the physical and content aspects of the poster through this test table is going to be helpful. I tried to cover all aspects of the poster creation: wether the information is reliable, how the colours work together, what is the right material and software to use, ratio of images to text, use of images, amount of text and many other things.

Yes
Do you understand immediately what the poster is about?
Yes
Not fully, you understand that it has to do with X Factor but no that it is the school X Factor.
Yes
What is the main thing you would improve?
I would mainly improve the use of colours, maybe include some brighter shades to make it a little bit more attractive.
Specify clearly that its the school's
X FACTOR so that people know exactly what the event is about.
I would include more images as the poster lacks a little bit of more colours from images. This would also make everything even more attractive.
With this survey I am able to improve my designs an final poster in a way that will successfully attract the audience. I asked a few students what they think about my poster. I included the basic questions, is it eye-catching? Is it clear? And asked for ways to improve. These answers give me a better view of what my poster should look like and what type of effect is should have on the community.
I think, however, that I should have asked more detailed questions and to different types of people, not only student but also teachers and parents.
